GLAZED FRAMES

The workshop is stocked with a basic range of  moulding but I have a larger selection of samples available to view. Trying combinations of wood, stain and colour will help you find something unique, something that stands out from any off the self options Fo a small charge I can create samples to try against your artwork

Black Indian ink tulip wood

Unlike painted frames, Indian Ink gives a wonderful rich black finish that emphasises the natural wood grain. As similar effect is that of burnt larch. This can be applied to other woods including oak.

White lime wash tulip wood

This unique lime wash formula gives a slight off-white finish that shows the wood grain underneath yet still retains a contemporary clean look.

Natural oak or ash

Solid oak and ash are two great ways to display artwork to give a more natural feel. Each frame if finished off with a clear beeswax to give it a soft sheen and emphasising the grain.
